Excellent analysis, but we've seen her heart rule before.

Oh, you're good! hahahaha

We watched seasons 8 and 9 when they were first aired, and we were feeling the absence of Mulder most sorely. The makers eked out DD's contracted minutes in little increments to keep us hanging on, but at the end of an episode with five minutes of DD, we were frustrated and mad. It was hard to accept Doggett and

The relentless, grotesque little man in Badlaa gave me nightmares.

The Dragons are talking about JTR in past tense. I think he did his thing while Dracula lay in the tomb. Also, I'm assuming that the Dragons would have recognized the work of Dracula. So I think they are referring to a different vampire.

Oh, oh, oh! I was not recognizing Shreck's name. I have seen Nosferatu! Amazing film, sort of in a class of its own.

Liked for mention of Erik Adams' review—just read it, very good.

You should see Carnivale, it's brilliant.

Well, Dracula has lived in England before, so it would be okay with me if he spoke with a perfect English accent in private and said things like "shedule".

Thanks for mentioning Nosferatu. A truly visionary film.

Second favorite is Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Gary Oldman in the title role. Oldman can bring the strange.

Like this reference. Thanks.

Schreck sounds good—I'll check him out. My favorite Stoker adaptation is Count Dracula, a TV movie made in 1977. Remarkably dark and strange, given the period of its release. Louis Jourdan plays the Count—elegant, sad, calculating—great voice.

D has a unique investment in artificial lighting.

She is a sparkling beauty—her costumes and jewels were stunning for Merlin, always playing up her best features. Morgana got darker as the seasons progressed, naturally.

Who was that in Lady Jane's cage? Liked the scene of her honing her fighting skills.

Agree with "…I think they could get a little more mileage out of having Meyers slip back into Dracula's natural accent when he thinks he's alone." Good idea—or when he's alone with his assistant.

Thanks for this. I am a fan of Patrick's work, inclusive of his underrated turn on The X-Files, and enjoy hearing behind-the-scenes stuff about him.

Agree about Via Negativa. Wonderful visions—artistic salience. Doggett meets Lone Gunmen. Bonding between Doggett and Scully. The mystery of Scully's "illness". The mention of military mind experimentation. So many good things to talk about—see longer comment below.
