I see your point. I agree that the writers have devastated Jack's old character and not given him a new one that makes sense.

True, that perception does not remotely match the facts. But societal rules in the 50's did create a powerful web. Women who were adventurous by choice and lived outside that web were considered a threat to "decent society" and ostracized. They had few peers. Most women who played the field were labeled "sadder but…
Fetishize. Good word.
Love that scene, too, where Nolan plugs in. Too fun.
Is it just me, or is Victoria becoming more and more of a caricature? Seems in earlier seasons, there were moments of humanity…
Disagree about Jack. I almost started to enjoy Jack this episode, since he stopped moping, got a haircut, and got proactive. Enjoyed the salvage yard scene, reminiscent of dueling cat burglars in old caper films. Though their friendship is kaput, I like the new conspiracy/competition between Jack and Em, all the…
Right. Victoria made her threat just as Conrad was walking out the door to get in the car. She didn't have time to rig the brakes.
This episode had some spit. With so much conveyed by catty innuendo,
it was fun to see Em with her claws out in the fight with Daniel, and again in
the hissing scene with Jack in the salvage yard.
Jack is not the endgame, Revenge is the endgame and all loves will be sacrificed to it. If there's a sugar-coated ending to this bitter tale, one where Em/Am finds true love, I will eat kibbles for a week.
Oh goodie!
That would have been two too many Carries.
The goddess Kali is both creator and destroyer, so she can never be identified completely with one cause; and Linda means beautiful, so I think of Kalinda as The Beautiful Assassin.
The mole in this episode is being set up as a troublemaker in the new rebel firm.
Did you get the impression he was pulling Diane's chain? You know Kurt has some middle-aged gun buddies and an eccentric uncle tucked away somewhere.
I really enjoy Kurt and Diane together and I'm happy to see them united, if only because it means Kole will guest star on future episodes. I love how completely Diane is her own woman, and how this doesn't threaten Kurt in the least.
Awesome stare. Let's make a list of actresses capable of such a withering look, and place Christine Baranski on top. I nominate Meryl Streep, Marcia Gay Harden, and Gina Torres, for starters. GO!
It was totally unrealistic that Viola did not press Kalinda to be more specific re what she meant by "liked."
I never thought for a minute that Kalinda was lying. Also, I was happy that Kalinda had more of a part in this episode.
Anytime, anyplace, with anyone. Look out.
"…about corruption in the law world." The rebel who moles out L&G with the video justifies his act, then threatens to rat out the rebels if he is fired. It would be hard to get rid of him now, but if they don't, he'll continue to work his mischief and create division in the new firm.
