The odds of winning twice is much smaller than the odds of winning once.  But if you've already won once, the odds of winning a second time are the same the odds of winning once.

You don't know how probabilities work.  That theater is exactly as dangerous now as it was before; maybe more so if you factor in the remote possibility of a copycat shooting.

@avclub-c1bac1d55ebcc415d61552acbfbb219d:disqus I own that remake and watched it once, but may not watch it again.  It's decent but it seems a little inessential.  I like that he gave more agency to Barbara; I dislike the actor who plays the arguing dude who always wants to lock himself in the basement.

The passive and irrational female is the only significant flaw in the movie as far as I'm concerned.  The "political" ending is both a little less political than its reputation, and also not out of nowhere; while the images are very open to interpretation, my particular interpretation runs toward themes that are

Tell me about it.  It's pretty bad when you sometimes look over your own CD and record collection and have forgotten what a quarter of the records sound like…

I'll have to check out this Year of the Goat.  I had their EP and wasn't blown away by it, except for one pretty nice track.  Overall it seemed like they didn't quite stir their influences together enough to achieve coherence out of them.  But there were some good raw materials in that mix.  Wasn't even aware they had

Part 3 seemed incredibly pedestrian to me.  I only really like the original, and part 2 is worth seeing once for the wacky comedy of it.

Good one!

Bryan Fuller is… not to all tastes.  I made it through "Dead Like Me" and half of "Wonderfalls," and had to stop there.
