Things that deserve reduction and derision frequently get it.  I'm not saying all movies labeled "torture porn" or "chick flicks" (or "buttrock") deserve it, but many do, and that's why the labels exist and what their utility is.

I searched for the inevitable Dulli story and was not disappointed - except that it's not as good as most of them.  Here's mine: at a show in Chicago, somebody threw something mid-song that glanced off of Dulli's head.  He stopped the song to berate the thrower, then they finished playing it while he searched around
