In fairness, that could be said of both Ex Machina and Sunshine, but they were both low budget, introspective sci-fi thrillers. I'm not saying your concerns are unjustified (because they are in a vacuum and probably even more so, I haven't read the series), but there is a place for this kind of film considering you

The only thing that's making me even somewhat excited for Apocalypse is Oscar Isaac being menacing and monologuing while playing the closest thing that world had to a god. Apocalypse isn't one of my favorite X-Men villains and I'd probably prefer they not even use him, but casting Isaac in that role specifically was

*toilet flush*

…yet.

This is honestly my biggest fear if I ever meet Oscar Isaac in a public setting.

This is just making me think Jesus is Doug from the State skit.

BB-8 and Poe easily had the most chemistry of anyone or thing in that movie. Did you see the look Poe gave BB-8 when the droid was worried about never seeing Poe again…MAGNETIC!

That should absolutely not stop you, in fact it would probably just hinder you.

I'm a big fan of Jae Lee and Paul Jenkins was doing good work at the time, so I was able to look over the marketing conceit, even though I'm with you in general. Otherwise, also with you on him never being mentioned again. Outside of that initial mini, the character was just slaughtered beyond repair. And with Blue

I actually like Sentry but they always play the morally ambiguous card (with varying degrees of nuance), and it's never really been that popular.

That's what makes them such morons.

Communists pretending to be communists but not those communists pretending to be anti-communists but actual communists.

The wheelchair that LexCorp gave him that blew the place up would.

This is at best implied. What doesn't work is that it is a primary motivation for Batman for the entire film and is never made clear.

I mean, that's problematic. The next scene had the cops at LexCorp but they're investigation a break-in…but forensics would reveal that a bomb was set off at the Capitol, and…my brain hurts.

Ha, I did, it's uneven but a more fun comedy than I think it's getting credit for.

I saw Gods of Egypt, so clearly I'll see anything.

I went into it by myself knowing I'd hate it and it was worse…I needed someone else there just so I could release exasperated snark and quips.

This Superman is just…hopeless. Snyder took the conceit "Superman always saves Lois" and turned it into "Superman only saves Lois" because that is the only aspect of humanity he doesn't hate.

The good news is there are plenty of great stories that exist about them.
