As far as i can tell, this is one of the first times an American show has tried to pull off a semi-inspired-by UK style Panel quiz. I agree though, the format can feel a little strict, but i'm sure that it'll grow looser as the format evolves and begin to more closely resemble those UK panel quiz shows.

It's nice to see a mention of Eureka up in here.  Seeing as you let the end of over a decade of Stargate tv go by without a mention.

I'm completely tired of all these "tell company x not to let you loose channel Y" messages that go on every year.  If cable goes alacart, the tv channels win, the cable channels win, the consumer wins.  Everyone gets what they paid, and the cable companies can make more money on stations people actually consume

Sci-fi radio, at times, are still some of the best old time radio programs.  Shows like X-Minus one and it's predecessor Dimension X took the best short stories of the day and adapted them for the screen.

Trek in the Park is a real thing.  Portland can't be the only city that does it….

Speaking of the scene with Isaac Brock, the two main parents arguing come from a local band Tu Fawning (and 31knots depending on how you want to look at it).  I think i might fail as a human, and also qualify as a portland music junkie that i immediately recognized them and failed to realize that the modest mouse guy

Thank you, i thought i was the only one who listens to Thrilling Adventure Hour.  It is certainly one of the best things in my life on a weekly basis.  I guess the only thing we can do is to continue our silent campaign to get the avclub to listen to it, even if it is just here in the comments section.

It's cool that the Thrilling Adventure Hour was added to the nerdist network.  Maybe it'll get some additional liseners this way.  It's been my favorite podcast for about 8 months now, and this weeks episode was one of finest "beyond belief" stories they have presented so far (beyond the episode "wishing hell", where

Nice, i think this is the first time you guys have mentioned the bugle.  Over the past six months it has become one of my favorite podcasts.  At the very least, the best part of ending a shitty week.
