This is going to be just like seeing Spinal Tap!
Except with more jowls!

Here's the question
Which is the superior game? Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong Jr? I would go with Jr., but I think that the correct answer is Tempest.

As cancer…

This Guy…
Needs to stop making awful movies, and focus more on ruining his legacy in comics.

Sorry to go off topic
But is AV club going to talk about Russell Brand to star in the remake to Drop Dead Fred? Rabin! Get on it!

A better title for this album would be…
Ben Folds Presents: Vanity Project

Your post is a pithy little addition to this discussion, albeit a magnanimous and important one.

I like Ben Folds and all…
But the man is a little off-kilter. He had an a capella group open up for him at the last show I went to. The audience reaction was ironic enjoyment I think. Still, good on those guys, it was probably the best audience they ever had that they didn't have to build themselves.

I'm in complete agreement with you there. Sadly, all the video stores near me are out of business. I remember the box for Creepshow freaking me out. Some of the pictures they put on the back of those boxes made the movie seem more extreme in my little-kid mind than it really was.

Pee Wee's Playhouse
Thanks to the plethora of 24-hour kid's channels, my son will never know the joy of sitting in front of the TV on Saturday mornings with a bowl of sugary cereal, while my parents slept in. The best I can do is show him DVD's of some of best of that era. Pee-Wee's Playhouse holds up remarkably well

I've always had the sneaking suspicion that "Runaway Train" would've been an awesome song if Johnny Cash covered it.

Or french-kiss Christoper Reeves.

Best Movie Still ever.
That's all I got.

La la la
I love my lemon tree.

You know what this movie needs?
A man dressed as a woman in a fat suit.

Thomas Lennon is in this?
I never thought I'd say this. But this may be the Zac Efron movie for me.

Wait a sec
There's late period Soul Asylum? Now I'm depressed.

I need to check out "Bowl of Cherries". I also second the inclusion of any Zadie Smith.

Some Suggestions
Wow, am I late to the party. But here are some suggestions. (Probably most, if not all have been suggested but who cares? We's talkin' books!)

Not to Overthing This…
But wouldn't the Candyland movie just be a rip-off of Wizard of Oz? Both game and movie feature a brightly colored road you travel on in order to meet the ruler of the land; all the while meeting an assortment of fantastical characters along the way?
