I'm all for it being entertaining. I just happen to think it's been more entertaining this season when it's kept its eye on the prize.

To be honest, that's how I'm starting  to feel about Louie. (And I LOVE where Wilfred's been headed since more or less the last third of Season 1. Each their own and such.)

It's a fair criticism, and a constructive one. As a viewer, I probably agree with you, but I do my best to just enjoy each week and not get too antsy.
