Honestly, it's probably stuff like that that's made me insist on having a dog at home ever since since. Now if I'm up late reading, watching, or playing something scary, I don't feel the need to react unless the dogs do too.

I've seen a few of the movies that were adaptations of his stories, and that guy is well and truly fucked up.

Just about to go to bed, and according to the internet, that story's in Skeleton Crew. Just so happens I have a paperback copy of that sitting on my dresser. DO I DARE?

I started to read it when I was a kid and my parents wouldn't let me watch the miniseries on TV (yet they let me watch The Shining at 5. Weird logic), and I opened it at that part. That put an end to my reading real quick.

I *still* pull back the shower curtain in my bathroom, sometimes. Between that book and that scene in The Innkeepers, I've had my share of tub corpse trauma.

Silent Hill 2, for me. I was 13 or so, my family was gone for the weekend, and I decided that nighttime would be the perfect time to play that fucking game. I'd seen probably a hundred horror movies at that point, but when I got out of the hospital and was running around "dark" Silent Hill, hearing my radio go nuts

I read one that was pretty creepy, but that may have been because I'd just taken some melatonin and was drifting off. Anyway, I can't remember the details, but it was about a group of people being trapped in a room, under observation, and eventually seemingly going insane and…dismembering themselves, or something.

I liked the scene with the mummy in the snowstorm. Really, though, I'm with Tasha on this one; I found The Shining really, really scary. I need to read that one again.

I know! Dagon made me afraid of waking up in the middle of the ocean in the vicinity of a big obelisk.

I got so sick of Xander near the end. Of course, I hated pretty much every character by season 6.
