Very informative — thank you.

The Bionic Woman could have run longer, but it was a combination of losing showrunner Kenneth Johnson (who moved onto The Incredible Hulk), declining ratings and Lindsay Wagner being ready to move on.

Seriously, why didn't the show end with Steve and Myra? Laura was okay, but Myra was much more crush-worthy.

Oh, that's too funny. Might make for a good double-feature with Cannibal Girls or Black Christmas (or Santa's Slay if you want Dave in there).

I've been meaning to watch that, to see how well it plays. If I recall, Levy supposedly wrote the first six installments in the course of one weekend.

Over on Knots Landing, fugitive Chip (Michael Sabatino) died in a freak accident at Gary's ranch, Westfork (get it?). He ran into Cathy (Lisa Hartman), who resembled Ciji, his baby mama whom he murdered. Startled, he fell into a pitchfork. Meanwhile, Karen (Michelle Lee), Chip's reluctant mother in law (he ran off

I wonder why DS9 wasn't grabbed by any network. Same issue?

From what I recall after skimming through Valerie's book, that's what either NBC or M-B boiled her complaints down to, assumed jealousy.

It'd be fascinating to watch Valerie's season and a half, to see if she really was getting overshadowed by Jason Bateman.

Aw, man, Sandy Duncan!

Jaleel has said he'll never do the Urkel voice again, but I would throw untold amounts of money at him and Reginald to reunite for a podcast, just talking about the near-decade they spent as a comedy duo.

"So … do you feel any bitterness towards your fellow band mates?"

Don't forget V!

I'm guessing Merv was in Vegas.
ETA: There's a line I've always loved about Joan R., from Indecent Exposure. Columbia wanted to turn her into their answer to Mel Brooks. "She's mad, she's funny and she knows where the laughs are."

The Week in Journalism:
Complicated, to say the least. I covered upcoming infrastructure projects, the possibility of Sunday morning shopping in North Dakota, more complaints about our supposedly weak economic development, the spring flood outlook, the budget forecast and Medicare.

I enjoyed it, although I do wish it was more of a conventional museum, or we happened to be there during, say, a panel.

Fun fact: Matthew Stechel and I saw that very commercial while watching Perfect Strangers at the Paley Center.

It sounds much, much better played at double speed. Less mopey, more disco.
