Yay!
Congratulations both!

Why isn't Lady Disdain the Poet Laureate?
Bust off one of your rhymes for us, Lady D!

And she did that album when she was like 24 years old or something. Hounds of Love when she was 27. That astounds me.

mmm, not unless I'm in pretty severe and pigment-altering denial. I'm afraid I don't catch the reference.

Mr. Shampoo: well done.

Kate Bush
I get the feeling her last one was…her LAST one, and like her heart's not really in it anymore, but…the 1-2 punch of The Dreaming and Hounds of Love? I LOVE that shit. So operatic and goofy and out there and heartbreaking and pretentious and singular and sincere, and more often than not, totally

my favourite lind from I'm On a Boat is "This boat is REEEAAALL!"

That's Fight Club, I think. The movie.

it's actually Tom Petty.

not really a fan of Vancouver weather. I actually prefer my weather a bit more Canadian, with stupid fluctuations, etc.

Hell, I'm from Alberta, and we're contractually obligated to hate Toronto. It's the best city in Canada, in fact.

Toews it up!
"A Complicated Kindness" by Miriam Toews fully and repeatedly knocked me on my ass with its hilarious sadness. I'd love to hear what y'all think of it. Except maybe ZMF.

so…
The company run by uber-creep Dov Charney is defending itself by questioning someone's sexual ethics?

some fine work.
Ah, there's nothing like a new show hitting its stride.

I too was sad to see a lack of female presence, given some of the comtent this movies seems to include.

Way to go Canada!
I guess BBT needed to cut down on his gravy intake.

i don't think anyone's out and out dismissed it yet, just expressing apprehension.

yeah, I dunno, I like everyone involved, and a trailer is not really ever a thing to go off, and I'm a big fan of dark comedy (that isn't just angry antisocial transgression pretending to be comedy with nothing else to back it up), but watching the red band for this just gave me the idea that this movie will just make

Yes, it's OOP, it took me awhile to find my copy. Very good movie. I suspect the theatre nerds probably get a bit more out of it than the casual observer, but even so it's a great, hilariously sad story.
