absolutely it's a trap (lookin at you here Eli). the preview for next week shows that one of the challenges is some kind of 'breakfast-in-bed for Padma' type deal… could possibly play to Robin's strengths assuming she has any.

does TC ever reaaaally do the host city true justice? i'm thinking specifically of the Chicago season and that quickfire at Pizzeria Uno.

that's why i put villain in quotes. it's not a reflection of her as a person, but how she is portrayed through the lens of Reality TV. out of all the miscellaneous things said during those 'one-on-one' interviews, producers could easily edit out all the negative comments about Robin, but they don't - it's brought up

it really was confusing to me why all of the dishes seemed so sparse and limited. one has to assume there was some set of unknown guidelines in place, since it makes no sense to me how all 7 chefs (yes even Robin) heard "vegetarian" and yet all opted to forego dairy. no doubt some excellent flavors and textures were

Robin is this season's Lisa. i know it's been established that a meritocracy exists and that the worst dish each week is what gets you sent home, but i have to think TC's viewership increases the longer a "villain" digs their claws in and refuses to be sent packing.
