The bands sometimes get mentions. I think that it depends on whether the AV Club contingent feels strongly one way or another. I really hate it that we tend to move in a mob-like formation at times, but there it is.

I didn't even think that this was a stereotype. I see plenty of chubby dudes in their 30s wearing a wide variety of shoe types. I think that they could have totally made this same commercial with Asics.
I thought that she did fine. Her English was a little rougher than usual (probably due to nerves), so that made things a little choppier.
The video to "Little Talks" is absolutely fantastic. It's animated, and it definitely recalls the monster epics that are part of our shared literary traditions from the pre-medieval days.
Isn't the joke here that the Chief already knows that he's not a psychic? I think that she found out via a conversation with Henry in the pilot.
@avclub-9ce04591654645426079a7c2faa385e4:disqus Well, you took that to a dark place.
While I agree with your post, I just want to pop in and say that medieval men knew all about cunnilingus and the female O. We have the filthy, filthy drawings to prove it.
@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus I too would be lonely if the only one on my level was Death. He's a rather melancholy presence.
Yes to that last sentence!
The big entity? Chuck/God? That would be awesome — I miss Chuck. Although, I can't imagine him being the enemy. God has clearly shown himself (time and time again) to be on the side of the Brothers Winchester.
LOL I didn't even think about that episode when I wrote my comment.
While I did like the end exchange between Charlie and Dean (especially Dean throwing in a Star Wars reference), this episode was just filler.
It does seem meaner. I think that it's because it's so out of character for her. She's empathetic to a fault in most other circumstances.
I've worked in many jobs over the years, and I have never encountered a situation in which coworkers relentlessly bullied a single person. I'm sure that it happens, but it's not true that every office has a Jerry.
While I get the fact that Jerry doesn't care about how others treat him at work because his home life it so awesome, I can't help but care. I can't stand it when someone is being made fun of by a group of people in real life, and my skin crawls when I see it on TV. Gut reaction.
Her being so conflicted, I think, naturally plays into her not voting. It's hard to vote for anyone if you have lots of issues that you are not willing to bend on. (Assuming, of course, that your political beliefs are not the same as the Repub or Dem party line.)
Yeah, the 'secrets' were on vastly different levels. What Shirley did should have resulted in a CPS visit. Where there no employees at this store? Did they not notice that they were locking small children inside of a store when they closed for the day?
@avclub-f7f8eb12e0f61a9321597157c0d61791:disqus I thought that was a bad wig. Those are his 'real' hairplugs?
Absolutely Mrs. Peel-esque.
Coco was so miserable that she felt that she had to bring everyone else
down. Her attacks against much, much better queens were sad and nasty.
