I love SOA and Danny Trejo but…
Isn't this the most obvious bit of casting in decades?

"The Asian jokes were a bit fish-in-barrel." Like how you fit an Asian joke in there. Clever. Because of the fish.
And nothing ever turns out well for Titus Welliver.
I concur. I was a bit turned off by the season about four episodes back but will probably go back and watch en masse knowing how the long con turns out. I jumped up in the air when I realized Chibs and Ope were getting their due.
Definitely excited to see more about the (past and present) machinations and…
American Nightmare is Danzig at his vocal best. Tiger Army does a solid cover of it. She is also amazing.
Anyone else notice that Jax looks a lot more like Maureen than Gemma? Also, when they arrived it looked like Gemma was deliberately putting herself physically between Maureen and Jax. I wonder if somehow JT had Jax with Maureen then took him back to the States.
I think they normally go to a place on either 5th or 7th Ave, maybe Ozzies. This is the first time I've seen Building on Bond in the show. And they have a delicious chorizo burger and wings.
I agree completely. I pretty much stuck around because I was bored and it's set in my neighborhood mostly. This episode was definitely my favorite thus far. Very nice mix of quirky emotion with the breakup and the cancer and some very nice physical comedy to boot. I almost peed when Ray got shot in the head. And…
Once he called her mom I was completely freaked out. She was basically mounting him, full on mouth kissing him and such. What the fuck? Watch it again, it is fucking disturbing. Or maybe my family just wasn't that affectionate.
Best part of the episode
Drinking Founders Double Trouble. Yum. Otherwise it was pretty dull.
Party foul
Guess I'm the only one who noticed Tara pouring an Abita Turbodog that was pale as a pilsner.
I thought it was Kathleen Turner.
The reason why you should not get Smokey wet is because he'll multiply. And don't feed him after midnight.
Classic. As a teenager in the 80's I rented this about 100 times from the local video store. I taped a lot of songs from the TV through my boombox and would take it out skating with me. How far we come (fallen) in technology.
I always thought emo, on the east coast at least, was born out of post-hardcore bands like Fugazi, Shelter, Quicksand and the best, Into Another during the early 90s.
Writers need to be used as human dartboards
This has to be the first time I've vehemently disagreed with an AVClub rating. Enough to actually post.
I call BS
After seeing Dexter all upset about killing an innocent man, I get the feeling the writers are fucking with us. My guess that the assistant was just desposing of the body for his boss and all will be well in Dexterland come next week when Dex wraps this guy in plastic and learns the truth. Then he kills…
Seconded. She is consistently the best actor on the show. I've been rewatching Twin Peaks and she's great in that as well. Here's to the Onion scoring an interview.
Nobody listens to metal for the vocals. The LOG vocals always were perfectly matched to the brutality (and brilliant instrumentation) of the music. I didn't care much for Sacrament because they softened some of the music and vocals. Metal bands evolve, then die. Then get resurrected as reverse vampires.
Good for horror fans, but not for everyone
Agree with the supporters of this film on most points. The problem is that people went into a HORROR movie with high expectations. I am a horror geek and 9 times out of 10 I am actually let down. I saw this thrice in the theater and it clicked with me. I enjoyed the…
