You're thinking of The Three Investigators. I only remember their "leader," a smart fat kid named Jupiter Jones.

I'll be a wreck when Tom Waits dies. Just destroyed, needing to take time off work, listening to "Nighthawks at the Diner" and "Small Change" on repeat. However, even though I'm half his age, he'll probably outlive me.
Ed Burns played Bugsy Siegel in Mob City, not Bugsy Malone (a pie-throwing prepubescent gangster played by Scott Baio in that bizarre '70s musical).
BRAD PAISLEY in all caps is his "straw man," taken from his birth certificate, which allows the corporatist U.S. government to make money off his existence, to the detriment of the flesh-and-blood Brad Paisley.
I'm still waiting for more Bear City, myself.
I'm a sucker for noir and '30s/'40s/'50s period pieces in general, and I really enjoyed the first four episodes. Unfortunately, I watch everything OnDemand, and my stupid cable company never posted the last two episodes to its OnDemand listings. I was also blocked from watching them on TNT.com. Thanks for nothing,…
Vinnie Van Lowe, he's watching youuuuu!
You mean The Inhumans.
Beetle (Ted) and Booster are my all-time favorite characters, but it would never happen because that would be FUN, and DC's editors and the "New 52" in general are not about fun.
I don't like Cohen or Carter anyway, and the Thenardiers are not my favorite characters in Les Mis, so they didn't work for me at all. They looked like the stumbled onto the Les Mis set straight from getting wasted at Tim Burton's Christmas party.

It's an incredible movie, kind of like a pastiche of '50s juvenile delinquent movies with late '70s/early '80s action movies like The Warriors, plus it's a musical with some awesome, theatrical rock anthems written by Jim Steinman. The hero looks like Captain Mal from Firefly and influenced the classic video game…

Or Ryan Gosling.
Or Ryan Gosling.
As for casting, my top choice would be Ben Foster. He's in his early 30s — old enough to be convincing as a hotshot trial attorney, a superhero, and a guy with a tragic love life — and he is one hell of an actor. With enough training, he could definitely learn enough fighting moves to look convincing.

Daredevil has infinite potential as a TV show, maybe the new Whedon-produced show that's getting buzz. Think about it — blind lawyer by day, gritty urban vigilante by night — perfection for case-of-the-week episodes with several ongoing, serialized plots as well. He's a character with several long, writer-driven…

Canary didn't stay with the JLI long enough to make a huge impression (and ought to be reserved for any "big guns" JLA or Green Arrow projects), and I assumed J'onn should be off the table as well (although he's such a relic of the Silver Age, a big green Martian with almost unlimited powers and a silly weakness, that…
