Yeah, there are a ridiculous number of Lebowski references over the course of the show. But it's a little problematic that most of them are characters referencing Lebowski and others are parts of the world being modeled on the movie.
Like SPOILER the Patty Hearst episode in season 3, where everything is patterned after

SEASON 3 SPOILERS
Lamb is a great foil for Veronica. The show kind of needs a dickish authority figure for her to bounce off of and Lamb provides that. I think part of why he works is that he's so gleefully dickish that he's entertaining whereas if he was portrayed even a bit differently he could be more irritating

On after Studio 60?

Strata is pretty odd, because the world is essentially pretty similar to Discworld, but with a totally different backstory. I remember basically enjoying it, but I don't remember it being particularly funny or any other aspect of it.
However, I will stick up for the Nome trilogy (Truckers, Diggers and Wings). I enjoyed

The Lilith House part of the storyline was kind of problematic, but, in my experience, college campuses are places where arguments about school policy get really heated and blown out of proportion, so it kind of makes sense to me that the strongest advocates on each side of the rape issue at Hearst are kind of

I don't really love Terrence Cook, but his role was largely as a red herring in the season's mystery, so I'm willing to forgive the fact that his role was kind of pointless on the grounds that it worked in terms of the season's structure.

Season 2 is actually my favorite. Maybe it isn't quite as great as the final stretch of season 1, but, like Rowan, it actually took me about halfway through season 1 to get really hooked into the show, and I had no such problem with season 2, which I think is a lot more consistently engaging. There's one subplot of

The Corner would also be a good project, maybe to lead into the reviews of The Wire.

You can probably skip the rest of the season but watch the finale, which isn't particularly great, but is necessary to set up part of the plot of the movie, which is the actual close of the series. It's a bit uneven but reunites the entire cast and has some really wonderful moments, especially the final few scenes.
As

6 starts out a bit poorly, but its final stretch is quite good and it has has some truly classic episodes (Subway, Finnegan's Wake and the finale). It would be worth covering if they got that far, but I don't think there would consistently be enough to write about without doubling up on most episodes.
Season 7 goes

Yeah, I realize that there was fairly little interest in the Homicide reviews, but its such a good show that it deserves coverage anyway. The reviews stopped at around the point that Homicide stabilized into a really consistently great police procedural and there are so many great episodes in the third season that it

I think the first season is on DVD, it was on Hulu for a while but not anymore. Probably the first season is the only one that really merits coverage.
I'm not sure if there are enough Wiseguy fans here for coverage to be successful, but it would be great to have someone go through it. It's kind of in an interesting

The Elf Queen
For some reason this corresponds a lot with my list of top books.

She was fine in her small role in A Prairie Home Companion, which is probably the best movie she's been in, period.

I like Interesting Times, but I'm not sure if it works as an introduction. A lot of it plays off of the pre-existing relationship between Twoflower and Rincewind from The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic. It's my favorite of the Rincewind books, but I don't think it would have worked quite as well if I had

I started with The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic, and after that read in no particular order, which probably wasn't ideal because the Watch books definitely make more sense if they're read in chronological order.

Hogfather

The Newsroom is one of the best comedies of all time, and I think Ken Finkleman has a new show. Is it good? I no longer live in Canada so I have no way of knowing.
And in recent years Canada has produced Corner Gas and Intelligence. While neither was perfect, they were both entertaining, quality shows.

The first season is fantastic, especially the first arc, which really takes advantage of the serialization element to build towards a fantastic conclusion. The second arc has a really entertaining Kevin Spacey performance and is quite good as well, but it kind of botches the ending. Jonathan Banks is also really
