She could peg me anyday.
She could peg me anyday.
I was super disappointed in that one myself but I think I'm the only one.
with a flaming guitar!
I remember seeing the first trailer, and I was all like "Holy shit, how'd they actually reboot this series and make it look good?" then I saw George Miller's name on it, and I was all like, "fuck yeah!"
There's a Blu-Ray set of all three of them that I think I bought for $10 (probably on sale, but you could still probably find them cheap).
I watched all three of them in the past few weeks. I was surprised at how much I liked the first one. I think the first time I saw it, some fifteen years ago, it was the dubbed-in-American version. The original, Australian version is a Hell of a lot better and it might be my favorite of the trilogy.
I thought I had failed interrogations (of course then you just redo them, but that isn't any different than any other video game). I hated the interrogations, too. The whole "try to figure out if they're lying or not" thing was bullshit. In real life, the fact that detectives believe they can do this leads to a lot of…
It's been a few years since I touched it. I know other times I've discussed it with people on The A.V. Club it seems a lot of us gave it up around the same point in the game. I always just felt like it was the kind of game where I wasn't really doing anything. I was just walking along a scripted path and pushing…
I gave it an F, too, which pains me.
That was really the only reason to play the game. You make me want to play it again, though. I never did finish it.
I don't say much in these two sentence-or-so reviews. I personally found Ex Machina kind of cliche but well made, is all I basically said.
They might be better than I'm giving them credit for being. I can't stand to sit through those kinds of shows, so I've only ever seen bits and pieces.
I've been doing 1984 for the last several weeks and probably have a week or two left. Then I'll be moving onto 1949. I participate in a series of polls on IMDb and I like diving into individual years in depth.
Well, then, maybe it was beyond me.
I guess I do. It doesn't seem quite fair!
In the theater I saw Ex Machina, which was great looking and had some fine acting, but didn't have anything interesting to say. I gave it a 7/10. I have plans to see Avengers: Age of Ultron later today.

And I thought Burning Love was kind of hit-and-miss (though, for the most part, worth watching).
I really love Winkler on this show and it's really too bad his big showcase this season was a huge dud. It would have been awful no matter who was at the center, though.
Never mind, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
