Oh, shit, you reminded me that Craig wasn't in either episode - which makes me incredibly happy.

Are you talking about the West Side?

That one also had John Mahoney as Bob & Cecil's father.

Uh, it appears he's gone drinking, sir.

Poochie has appeared multiple times, with the joke mostly being the Itchy and Scratchy writing room is so out of ideas they have to return to Poochie sometimes. My favorite is the appearance of "Matrix Poochie" at Itchy and Scratchy on Ice.

Sadly, the FG reruns probably draw in 10 times as many viewers as a new episode of Venture Bros.

Frankly, I'm guessing they just smoke way too much weed.

I usually find out the day after it comes out because of an A.V. Club review.

It and Deep Deep Trouble are on the Second Season DVD set, IIRC.

I once saw a very naive woman claim on the internet that the word "fart" was a swear word before The Simpsons came on the air.

Doesn't Beetlejuice end with that song?

It doesn't take five years to write a few TV episodes. They don't need to be the only ones who work on it (and they're not, judging by the credits).

I almost hate this show now. It's been on over 10 years and has only produced, like, 10 episodes. It's getting really annoying waiting. I'm pretty sure I could have completed as many episodes as they have at this point.

Oh, Christ, the "My recording studio" was one of the funniest callbacks the show has ever done, particularly since, especially at that period, they pretty much never did callbacks (they've been doing them more often lately, most poorly).

Death to Maggie!

Wait, back up a second: when are the pancakes coming in the mail?

I'm really happy to hear other people hated Imitation Game, too (well, I didn't hate it, just found it very mediocre). Almost everyone I know who saw it thought it was quite good, despite assuming it would just be dull Oscar bait (which is exactly what it was).

I'd say PTA has yet to make a film that's less than great yet. And this is his seventh movie? I'm starting to think he might be the greatest American director ever. I don't think anyone else made seven in a row as good as he has.

I usually stand up and show, "Ew!" or at least let out an involuntary gasp.

The whole film is largely a lie. The whole thing is that South Africans apparently think he should be up there with Dylan. He was moderately popular in the US, but HUGELY popular in Australia (which the film entirely ignores just to make the story better).
