someone i know brought this movie up not that long ago, and i'd forgotten i'd even seen it. It was the mention of the dog getting shot that sparked my memory because it was the only thing i could remember.

it might not be implausible for a woman of Christina Ricci's age to have a 17 year old daughter, but it's not something that happens too often to women of my generation unless they're on Teen Mom. We're getting married later (or not at all) and having babies much later (or not at all).
i like the one where they have that stopwatch that freezes time while you can go about your business with no one being the wiser. that blew my mind when i was a kid.
"Brick" might have been overplayed, but of all the songs that never seemed to get off the radio in the late 90s, that was one of the better ones. I love that song.
The cost of living in Australia means sometimes watching television is all we can afford to do in our free time
whenever someone in our circle of friends makes a faux pas and tries to over-explain their defense, we tell them to "Dig UP, stupid".
the first Flop House episode I listened to was the Total Recall one, and they spent a lot of the podcast kind of shitting on the original - they agreed that even though the original was better, it wasn't that great to begin with. i was like, HOLD UP.
she was hilarious in the Brady Bunch movies… i think it's more a case these guys just aren't sure how to write funny female characters unless they're physically repulsive
Oh Cookie Monster, i LOVE the Ghostbusters soundtrack! maybe in part because, having grown up on 80s movies, i love the feel of them - the soundtracks, the fashions, the cinematography, etc
Steven Spielberg always said, "To play the dumb blonde, you have to be really smart. Except in your case." One of his goddamn jokes. Bastard.
Eclectic looking little beach side bars right on the sand with $3 jugs of kamikazes. people hung up on the prostitution are missing the true beauty of Thailand.
I never watched King of the Hill but Pamela Adlon gets a lifetime pass from me for 'Louie'. Her character on that show is awesome.

the soundtrack is great. it's a shame Russell Morris never got as big as he deserves to be - The Real Thing, Wings of an Eagle and Sweet Sweet Love are solid tracks. i never get tired of hearing them
also glad to see so much Vampire Weekend love, the last time i read an article about VW on this site I vaguely recall there was a lot of loathing
my favourite is him sitting alone in the apartment staring in to space when the phone rings
American actors get used in Aussie productions all the time, I don't know why that one bothered them so much - particularly as Patrick Warburton isn't really a "name" actor", or wasn't at the time. he was just Puddy in those days
i can't stop laughing at this
i've only seen a couple of episodes and i liked it enough… i appreciate that, even though it's still a show about people richer than me, it's not complete hacky tv bullshit like Sex and the City could be sometimes
with everything that's going on in that picture, all i could think about was how much i love their shoes
