I always thought of Pixar movies as being gender neutral, the sex of the protagonist being inconsequential.

I think Sunshine is his most legitimitely beautiful movie. they all tend to be quite gritty but there's a real spirituality to it that I love - obsession with the sun, the crew watching the transit of Mercury - and John Murphy's score is phenomenal.

I've only seen the Redux version, and the French plantation scene was the only part that bored me.

I know it's mostly to Brad Bird's credit, but Ghost Protocol was the best action movie i've seen in at least a good couple of years. I read a review that described the direction as 'action poetry', and they were right.
