I think that technically a Western counts as a "period piece," but to the minds of most audiences, the concepts are pretty divided.

I think I must have played at least five of the computer games as a youth. Although it did always strike me as odd that no one ever figured out that Carmen's secret lair in "Where in the USA . . .?" was under the National Mall. I guess things really were different before 9/11.

I remember watching the "Where in Time?" sequel, and feeling very strongly that it was inferior to the original, though I'm not exactly sure why.

I'm against corporal punishment, ideologically speaking, but I still hope that kid got the shit kicked out of him when he got home.

It's absolutely fair and fitting to rag on CSI now, but it's worth remembering that when it was new, it was a really fresh and exciting thing. Cool look, cool characters. CSI was a lot of fun before its spawn took over almost every aspect of dramatic network television.

Ah hah, but there WAS a Jungle Book animated series! Take that!

I also think it has something to do with the fact that Don was the one who gave Roger shit about marrying a secretary. Of course, eventually, that would look completely hypocritical from Don's end, but in this moment I feel like Roger's last little bit of desire to make it work with a woman (since he always lingers on

Wasn't that also featured in the "Criminal" podcast? Or is this a different case of owl related homicide?

I'm sure a ton of it is mysognistic and most of the rest is petty but there was also that book she wrote a few months ago that had the really skin-crawlingly icky passages involving her sexually experimenting with her like infant sister and some other stuff iirc

"Syndicate" isn't so much an actual word for us as "a thing from whence criminals emanate"

Like I don't know who Greedo is. Jesus AV Club, give me some credit here.

All you need is binoculars, a MapQuest print out, and a strategically placed tree.

Michael Cera: Beck in Action

He did share a uterus with John Belushi. That's something.

"Bobbie Barrett: Bare It All (Or, 'Who Do I Have to Screw to Get My Stupid Husband a Job Around Here?')"

"We can save costs on printing by reusing the same posters! Just scratch off one letter!"

I've always felt like Don would still be alive / have survived to the modern age, if only for the emotional poignancy of seeing how drastically things have changed.

Good thing he decided to hang around

It's be worth it to watch Weiner sit on a couch, scowling, while Chris Hardwick peppers him with cheery questions about how "Just . . . Awesome!" the preceding episode was.

There's a big plastic bin in the corner of the writers' room where they toss all the clues that they look at after they're written down and go "Psh, any idiot can get that."
