Movies based on video games will not be made correctly until the moviemakers are fans of said games. It's obvious from Russell's horrible fucking ideas so far that that he's never played anything from the franchise. They probably showed him a few cutscenes and that's what he's based his ideas on. That first D&D game for Intellivision is the first game I ever learned a "cheat code" for (going to the top left quadrant of the map and pushing northwest makes you warp). I remember thinking that I was privy to some secret knowledge of the universe. Pretty big stuff for a 7-year-old.

Tron Deadly Discs is still one of my all-time favorite games. Also, it is arguably just as (if not more) fun to play as this new game.
