"There’s no real indication of what Teddy’s fighting for—outside of that baseball stadium, I guess—and it feels almost as if somebody involved in the show got very tired of this plot very quickly, so they just set it aside and waited for it to be over."

Love messes with us all, even Dexter.

Not a big fan of the arsonist, but one theory: he was introduced as a killer that Dexter suspects, but after putting him through the code is found innocent.  However, without the code being pushed by his now-departed dark passenger, will he start killing innocents?

Ok, we're about the same line of thinking then.  I also thought the episode was entertaining, and though not perfect, is setting up the next few episodes nicely.  It almost seems that when a show goes in an opposite direction that we hoped for/expected, there's a tendency to be upset and trash it, though the actual

But did it tie up all loose ends?  In the last scene Deb is about to have the witness from Hannah's past interviewed (on a tip from Hannah's dad, which doesn't really make sense because he meets Dexter to get his hush $…), meaning that Hannah  going down/being saved by Dexter - and the effect this has on his

Prediction:  fire investigator is the arson killer.  Predictably, Dexter confirms this, and kills/attempts to kill said fire guy - but is caught doing this by La Guerta or Matthews.  Can't see any other reason this character would be into'd so late in the season.

Compared to most shows on TV, I wouldn't say it's crap.  Next to The Wire, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire and other top shows, its crap.  But that's not the norm, those are the exceptions.  Saying Dexter is crap is like saying compared to Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony is crap.  Anthony's not nearly as good a player

Question: maybe Dexter goes back to the church (knowing Miami PD isn't finished with it yet), doesn't alter his voice when calling 911 (risking his anonymity), and other apparent mistakes/acts of sloppiness because he know Miami PD inside and out?
