I resemble these remarks so very much. But when the show is as good as it was last night? I don't even care that I'm "too old" by whatever standard to enjoy a soapy teen drama about vampires on the CW. I will take this show any day of the week over adult soapy dreck like "Grey's Anatomy". And twice on Sundays. With

I think Stefan was making an accurate assessment of what it means to be a supernatural creature - be it vampire or werewolf. They have ALL made morally questionable choices based on their place in the world at the top of the food chain and as individuals who potentially have eternity in front of them - which can make

The way I interpreted Etta's death scene was that Widmark - using his freaky speed and ability to manipulate space/time - actually took Olivia's bullet (that Etta had hanging around her neck) and forced it into her heart, similar to if he'd shot it from a gun.

Its about damn time. She's been the public "face" of the resistance since her death with all the crazy postering about town. You'd think the Observers might have wanted to search her home for, you know, intel and stuff.

My brother has started dropping in on this show with me from time to time and the illogical nature of the storytelling has just been killing him. I've tried explaining to him that the only way to watch and not have your head explode is to just accept all magical explanations on the face - even when they are patently

I agree with all of this. Well said.

SERIOUSLY ADORABLE. You know, Joseph Morgan has never had the opportunity to show that side of Klaus. When he's happy or gleeful it always has a sinister undertone because he's in the process of being, you know, the bad guy. That was just genuine laughter and joy and fun and sillyness and it was addictive.

I'm leaning towards the sire bond thing being a red-herring. I think it is presenting itself as the "answer" that can make the people that love Elena but don't always like Damon - say, you know, Caroline and Stefan - accept Elena's choices. It's just too convenient. It's a way for them to console themselves that this
