Yeah, I didn't really love this episode either. Both the ballroom numbers were pretty awful, and that Whitney Houston number was not all it was cracked up to be. It had some beautiful movement and that lift/drop thing was truly spectacular, but it wasn't cohesive at all - it was like Stacey wasn't even listening to

I asked this very question last week - or maybe the week before? - and it is essentially that the stills available from the network are from the prior week since the show airs live.

Except in earlier seasons they DIDN'T have "an equal chance." They were basically assigned dances by the producers despite the masquerade of the "lets pick our routine out of a hat!" However, given how things have fallen out so far, I think I prefer the old system - it gave us more dancers facing challenging choreo

Except Pasha has done great work in the past! And he's a hell of a ballroom dancer. I didn't love this routine at all - and ye gods was that song choice like the worst possible decision ever - but I'm not ready to send Pasha packing.

Agreed. I like that she's clearly a fan of the show (talking about the dancers performances from the past weeks in very specific ways) but that she balances her emotional response to numbers - and to choreography, which the dancers have no control over - with the technical critique of their movement. Love her!

I know I was! I mean I know the one song (as JMansm points out) was originally released in the late 80's, but it was tonally very different from the stuff she normally goes for. It was kind of a nice departure!

I really wish she'd have used The Sundays' version of "Wild Horses" though.

If memory serves, we do get longer intro packages as we get further into the season since they don't have as much dancing to fill the two hours. Given how packed the show is now with the added aspect of a group number and elimination, I wonder how much of that "getting to know you" stuff is going to be sacrificed just

You are so right about the judging. There are so many double standards (and triple and quadruple standards) particularly from Nigel when it comes to who gets praised and who gets screwed, that I frequently want to throw something through my TV. I realize that they, like us, are people and that sometimes they like or

I'm just sick of all the condescension. They usually range between "perfect", "you can do better than this, I know it", and "you'll really need to step up your game to succeed in this competition", but they seem to have found a new low that loops back around to not even bothering to be tough anymore: "aww, that's so

I think you may be right. There were parts that snapped and grooved but on the whole, it did feel like there was a bit of dissonance between the song and the moves. Which is surprising to me given that Christopher Scott generally seems to be really good at interpreting music in a unique way. Hmmmmm.

On the whole, I agree with you about the ditching four people the first elimination because it is so hard to cull that so quickly - especially from a bottom six. Shouldn't it perhaps be bottom 8 so the odds are slightly better or something? I don't know what the answer is.  That having been said, it is one of the

YES! Will is totally my favorite guy - he's just too freaking adorable for words. He's also a really beautiful, gifted dancer. On this, jerodast we are in complete agreement. :-)

Alexa was gorgeous! But only after they took away that god-awful red lipstick she was so fond of. I couldn't believe how much that distorted her features. But when you saw her with a paler lip, she was totally stunning.
