Correct. Once you compete officially on the show as a part of the Top 20, regardless of how long you last in the competition, you cannot come back and compete again. (Though they may pull you in on later seasons as an "All Star").

The auditions for this show are actually great and give you glimpses into how tough it will be for judges to whittle down to the top 20. This is the one show where I actually look forward to seeing the audition rounds - though I do wish we could get to Vegas a week earlier.

No judgement here. Good ballroom is beyond awesome! I've never attempted to dance it, but have been in love with the various styles since I first saw "Strictly Ballroom" when I was in middle school. I have often remarked that when I die, I would love to come back as (or, you know, with) Chelsie Hightower's legs -…

He might very well be as good as Mark. I was just saying that for me, in my context, I couldn't imagine him as the "next Mark" because of what Mark Kanemura represents for me, specifically, as a dancer. (And as eye candy.) I thought Mantis guy's piece was one of the coolest, most unique, and most challenging audition…

I don't know about that. I loved him, don't get me wrong - his piece was freaking brilliant and he got less annoying and more likeable as the audition went on. And yeah, they are both definitely "quirky" dancers, but Mark had a different kind of charisma.

Agreed! One of the most exciting by far - and I will be truly shocked if he doesn't make Top 20. He was BRILLIANT - bad feet be damned!

Right??? I made essentially the same comment about her - but to be fair to the actual Pussycat Dolls (not the pop group, the burlesque act) they require a hell of a lot more technique and training from their dancers than that girl is remotely capable of. If Vegas goes the way it normally does, the first round…

You know, I only read this review to find out how Cat Deeley made rainbows and sunshines out of what was surely a crapfest.Or how winning and wonderful she was despite all the doucheyness. Or how cheeky she was with the male contestants and how she helped bolster some of the more helpless female contestants. Or how…

Thanks for that link! I've always been a huge fan of Benji's and am so pleased for him that he's able to be out, proud and comfortable. I have no context for the Mormon church's stance on homosexuality but know that there are plenty of religions and religious institutions that take a hard line of no tolerance, which,…
