I saw Neil Campbell and Paul Rust's sketch group A Kiss From Daddy perform that sketch at UCB a year ago and I still find my self thinking about it randomly, I loved it so much. I was so pumped to see it show up in the episode last night.

can't say I'm a fan of that cover though. Oh well, I'll be buying it regardless.

It's confirmed: Adam Scott has a nice butthole.

Are you saying you don't check your podcast feed as soon as you wake up every morning for a new ep of UTU2TM?
Surely this must be an episode of Great Bits?

"God only knows where I'd be without him"

The recorded-at-show portion gave us what is genuinely my favorite moment ever on any podcast, which was the "it's good/it's funky" exchange, and Scott and Harris' reaction when they listened to it.

not just any actor, it was Matt Gourley!

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't poop"
Keith David's delivery of that line was amazing.

yeah, that was a great touch. And as Sepinwall mentions in his write up, it's apparently closer to the hat that Elmore Leonard envisioned for Raylan.

"We dug coal together".

I know it just came out yesterday, but the new Superego episode should have been featured. It was an instant classic, that first sketch especially.

God those first 10 minutes in Lake Town were horrible. That whole sequence was entirely orange and teal, I don't think there was a single other color. It was painful to watch.

I'm sort of the opposite, my enthusiasm for Marvel movies is tanking rapidly, but I've got to agree with you about this show, it looks kinda awesome. I'm really digging the aesthetic as well.

"I saw Malcolm X I said, ‘What the hell happened to this guy in 1-9 that he’s got this much of a chip on his shoulder?’"

I'm too lazy to look it up but I know that it's actually from a later season, like 18 or 19. Its my go-to quote to argue that there is still at least some value to later day Simpsons.

There's a new Venture Bros hour long special on January 19th. Anticipate that.

There's a new Venture Bros special coming out on January 19th. the rest of the season probably won't be here for a while though.

Agreed, I think the show will get a lot better if each episode's fake podcast has its own distinct theme. Betsy Sodaro is usually very funny but her podcast was literally just "welcome to the Betsy show, now here's my guest".
Paul Brittain's was better I thought, I liked that he had his own character, but it still

Yeah they were the best musical guest (muuuuussical guest) that I've ever heard on the show. Not only were they game, they were actually legitimately funny. There have been a couple musical guests that have sounded like they were trying too hard and would have jokes land flat, but these guys killed it.
