the hands-down worst aspect of the episode (and there's a lot of bad stuff, but this is the biggest outright crime) is how little they trust their puppets, and they end up breaking the illusion as a result. it can take anywhere between 2-10 minutes to really trust that the puppets speaking are physical entities

SPOOKY MORMON HELL DREAM

1. considering it's the only show that was revived and I felt the revival was any good, I'd be up for more Beavis and Butthead
1b. absolutely, and I'm not even that passionate about more B&B.
2. no one
2b. Harmon, probably
3. I've spent more time thinking about GODZILLA than anything else, but I also saw Monsters for the

hey people have been telling me to watch giant robo for half a decade and I finally am. so I mean, I do listen to recommendations EVENTUALLY

Icona Pop is the best and makes me want to break things. Birds Escape is a really good band but they changed their name to Portland and are infinitely harder to google now. They have - two? EPs out, and the first one (just titled 'Birds Escape') is solid throughout. I will have to check out Sky Ferreira because I

I wonder if there's any cultural reason for that, or if they're kind of like superhero movies right now. where at first it was commentary/comfort (Gojira, and I feel like Raimi's Spiderman was the boost in goodwill after 9/11 america needed at the time) and then sort of coasted on goodwill and what people thought they

haha if they didn't how would we ever beat them! (but yeah my tablet lock screen is more complicated)

what would you rank lower than it? my first guess is BRODERICK but oh god if there's worse.

that's basically my favourite genre! can you list a couple? the sadder the better but I should probably add some happy stuff to my library too.

I like that the gamera monsters are a lot cartoonier too, like a bunch of gumby rejects. that changes later on when they're finding ways to make them look more believable, but it works really well in the earlier decades when there's pretty much no suspending of any disbelief as far as the suits go.

one of my friends grew up with gamera and has only been watching the godzilla canon recently and I guess they're a bit like nolanbatman comparatively. I'm not the biggest MST3K fan but every gamera episode is great too

oh yeah the stock footage stuff is INSANE. what ones have you been watching? I want to say Awakening of Irys is my favourite in terms of being actually good and not just "joyously deliriously batshit", but I really like all the design work in ATTACK OF LEGION

oh so I DIDN'T haha, I swear I meant to!

late night anxiety making me feel bad and useless, what's up

asking "why" and listening patiently is my go-to. I still haven't seen it but I think the split reaction is interesting.

I want one where it's laugh factory phone cam footage.

oh doc you've got some splaining to do.

badass digest is a bad website that puts me in a bad mood. please throw good news at me everyone!

it's the sort of thing I'd really prefer to write a whole blog post about but I never will so I'll just post a really shitty version of that here - 'mountain town', the first song in the south park movie, simultaneously sets up the whole plot of the film while recapping the 3 seasons of tv, using only about 7 lines of
