Probably a good idea. I loved reading Fatale as a collected works. Plus, it's usually cheaper.

Oh, let me echo what Jordo said. Promethea is polarizing. I really liked it at first, but became increasingly frustrated with Alan Moore's self-indulgence as it progressed.

It so happens I picked up all the earlier collected TPs earlier this week from my library. That's among them. I look forward to it.

Rat Queens - Just a lot of fun to hang out with these women every month. I look forward to seeing where the characters go.

I'm a newcomer to Astro City. Damn, Confessor is badass.

If only the letter writer had thought of that, like maybe running the article past them before it was published?

I didn't get past the Dead Presidents arc, a decision I now regret. Guess I'll have to pick up the trades.

Oh, it's absolutely gorgeous and there is an interesting story. It's just that Moore drops the plot partway through and uses Promethea's trip through the different planes as a long-winded lecture about his crackpot theories.

Promethea? Really? It's incredibly self-indulgent, full of his half-baked metaphysical, Kaballah meets Tarot meets Egyptian mythology meets Christianity, etc, bullshit.

Not a date, but a one night stand.

I know New Orleans Suite generally isn't considered essential, but I love Portrait of Wellman Braud http://youtu.be/-GSqRQni6c0

Is it obvious to state I've been waiting for this feature for a long time? Oh, and I'd suggest Monk with Coltrane as an intro for beginners, but that's me.

Great choice. One of my favourite Walkmen songs, along with Stranded, While I Shovel the Snow, Angela Surf City and Heartbreaker (seriously, that air-raid siren guitar in Heartbreaker…)

Huh, all this time I thought Travis grew up, had kids and started touring as a family act under his surname: Mumford & Sons.

Poor quality rip offs of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer, Jack the Giant-Slayer and Hansel & Gretel are redundant.

Surely you mean with the exception of Buick Mackane, because that is the best song from The Slider.

Ha, I once called a radio request show and asked for 20th Century Boy, then argued with the station employee because he insisted it was by Chalk Circle.

@Gjetostbuster:disqus SPOILERS - In Planes, the crop duster is in a big crash during the race and gets smashed up. His wings and several key "body parts" are replaced and he's able to continue the race.
