Lowes is either getting good PR advice and ignoring it, or needs to fire their PR department. This is two months after Lowes cancelled its discount program for the military in Canada. They explained that the discount was a mistake, even though it had been in place since 2008. Whoops.

Yeah, fuck that Charlie Pride guy for stealing the white man's music.

With a few listens now under my belt, this is not only one of my favourite Roots albums, it's one of my favourite albums this year. Really, though, this is just an excuse to post a link to their performance on Yo Gabba Gabba:

Diefenbaker has only one K. And he's buried in the Diefenbunker.*

I dunno, they stretched it too much for me. I grew up in Edmonton during the Oilers dynasty days. No one says "Heavens to Gretzky."

Hydro poles? Fucking easterners. That's not what we call them in Alberta, boy.

At least there is a curling rink in Chicoutimi. I don't know whether they serve poutine, though.

Actually, life's too short to drink shitty beer like Coors Light.

Glenrothes. Just polished off a 1979 last night.

You must be a bummer when you're high. I totally do things like the pizza dance when I'm baked.

Tjorki?

If Amanda Palmer was involved, no.

Oh hey, you did. My bad.

Someone forgot to read Don't Let The Pigeon Comment on the AV Club.

Hell yeah. One of his best known songs - Superstition - is on Talking Book. Also Maybe Your Baby, Tuesday Heartbreak and Big Brother.

No mention of Have A Talk With God? I heard a record store clerk spin this tune for a cute chick once and the way she moved to the deep groove almost converted this atheist on the spot.

"Still" play. You suggesting these are songs for kiddos only? Mind you, 24 sure ain't grown ass.

Too hard to pick a fave, but his cover of We Can Work It Out blows away the Beatles' original (and I love the Beatles).
