I didn't know anyone else felt that way.  I was kidding above when I said It's a Wonderful Life was morally bankrupt, but Forrest Gump really is.

I think you missed the point of this morally bankrupt movie.   Crime Pays!Potter stole the money.  Never got caught or punished.  And the citizens have to make up the losses.It's the inspiration for the recent banking crisis.
