I gave up on Cloudstreet an hour or two in. Far too depressing, and lacking the humour of the novel.

The first season of the Danish version was very good, but the sequels were weak.

I'd forgotten all of Mark's stuff about how Big Suze was so posh she probably had a title. Prophetic!

I assume so, which is a shame. I'll still probably pick it up though.

Because the show HAS been a lot better in the past. It can do better episodes than this, and it should. If it had been a better episode it would get a higher grade.

She's Kiefer's daughter, so he might hunt you down and torture you for saying things like that.

@avclub-792b765aa995daf26cf6f17f519c949d:disqus Yeah, the second screen of guest stars was David Koechner and Janelle Monae.

I was happy to see Pilou Asbæk turn up in this episode, though it does make me wish Borgen would come back on.

I love how little everyone else cares about Bob, especially Don.

My favourite Ted McGinley appearance? The Brave and the Bold finale, where Batmite brings him on to the show as the new Aquaman so that they'll be cancelled.

"Lynn, these are sex people!"

It sounded like her, but she's not in the credits.

Yes! I assume that was Scott Grimes doing the voice too.

It's really nothing like The Killing.

Yeah, they did another four episodes, two of which have aired now. Not as strong as the pilot, but enjoyable if you like these shows.

Paul and Storm just linked to this interview, and it should really be allowed to break 1,000 comments.

I'm still watching, but mostly out of habit. Far too many red herrings and the like. Most of the stuff with Tennant and his "secret" is pretty annoying too.

I believe they're playing mother and daughter in an upcoming Doctor Who.
