Yeah my buddy at film school at the time told me just to go see it - no advance warning.
I knew it was Lynch but that's it.

Mulholland Drive
I walked out of the theater and the real world seemed like it had been altered in those two hours that I was watching the film. Never had another film experience quite like that.
I'll second Molly's pick of Fury Road. Saw it twice in theater.

Mike Vago perfectly articulated my hatred of Magnolia. That was such an insufferable experience in the theater. I also really had a difficult time with Inherent Vice which should have been right up my alley. PTA has always struck me as a really talented show-off with different tastes than myself. It's funny that I…

Really stuck with me as well. Could not believe the bleakness of the ending and how perfect it was. Great choice for this list.

Two that really stuck with me:

Dark chocolate Raisinets in movie popcorn. That's the ultimate combo.

Sapphire and Hendricks… yes and yes. I'd also like to add a vote for Junipero gin made by the good folks at Anchor Brewing Co. in San Francisco. Delicious. Leads to good decisions.

Great choice. As soon as it dawns on you that Glen is just killing it, the producer cracks that little smile. Perfect.

Tiptoes
FTW

I think it's been played so much that it's easy to forget how brilliant "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" is. Great opening track to White Blood Cells, and for that song alone, I have it above Elephant.

ponyo will most certainly be nominated

Funkadelic
(Not Just) Knee Deep

agreed on cat's cradle.
Also a vote for PKD's Flow My Tears which someone else mentions.

HUGE Sellers fan.
While I love the slapstick of Strikes Again, the moment that continuously gets me is in Return, when Sellers is in the club and pretending to be playboy Guy Gadoir and his moustache keeps coming off. A brilliant scene.
