One of my favorite 80s songs. It's fun and the sax in it is awesome.

Geez… That does sound like the action of a drunkard.
Ah, that's hilarious!
Yeah, that was extremely confessional, to say the least. I'm curious to read the other comments about the story.
Here's my late entry: When I was 24, I had the experience of a guy, who had a hundred pounds on me if not more, grabbing me tightly around my waist as I was trying to leave his apartment. He was laughingly saying he didn't want me to go. We were both drunk, but fortunately I wasn't too drunk to pull away and leave.…
If only he would've said "On the other hand, I love the simplicity and repetition of 'Piano Man,' it reminds me of my work!" But no…..
I remember an interview somewhere in which he remarked on it. He said he went into a bar or something, and some guy started playing it. The guy seemed to realize it was the same melody on repeat, and Billy Joel was like, "I know, buddy!'
That's quite a reaction for someone with ennui!
That's the first Hate Song article I ever read. The only one that I think was worth reading.
Is Joel really an alcoholic these days? I'm genuinely asking.
Mmmm, thanks. It takes like boogers.
I think it's just crazy that this guy, who is a professional music maker, made absolutely no mention of the fact that "Piano Man" is the same melody repeated over and over, and it's not the chorus, it's the whole darn song.
"Why not Simple Jacks and Jills?": A question asked by the snooty pedants.
I think he was a young guy, and the protagonists called him "the president of Harvard" just because he wore a Harvard sweatshirt. It was a kind of gallows humor nickname.
Woah! Paul Giamatti is exactly what Tom would look and sound like—and I know that's who will play the part in my head whenever I read it again. No offense Samuel L Jackson.
Thank you. That statement really irritated me too.
You win the internet for that!
She's lovely. Grey Worm, cheer up, you can always just make out with her. And many people love to cuddle more than sex!
I think they ought to have more than two songs in Westeros: not only would people playing belch that tune have more selections, it would just be really cool to hear a new song from the books (I assume more exist) being used on the show. I would love it if they had that in one of the last episodes of the season. …
I love the name Angela Deangelis. It's like Grace Disgraceful or something, just a name that sounds poetic and sort of cancels itself out.
