I went back and listened to some Genesis stuff for the first time in a about 20 years recently and came to the conclusion that the Collins stuff is no worse than the Gabriel stuff. There's some good tunes in both eras, but you have to wade through a serious amount of overwrought crap to get to it.
I'd swap 77 and Tongues, but otherwise snap. Really don't like Naked.
Only listened properly to "Chairs Missing" this week and it is fantastic, far far better than Elastica's album.
