I completely agree, I think it would be an excellent way to further the love triangle narrative (which, let's be honest, is fun to watch) if the show decides to go forward without Larry as a main character. I haven't read the book, but I gather from those who have that the show seems to be pulling away from the source

Yeah, I re-watched that scene a few times, too, because I couldn't quite figure out the tone. I think I've come to the conclusion that Piper was initially going to yell at Alex about meeting with Larry (and in her mind, causing him to break up with her), but then she is hurt/confused when Alex tells her to get the
