Aw, come on.  Lawrence Luckenbill's performance was one of the redeeming aspects of that otherwise misbegotten film.

Well, if that's the case, then the show should have made the connection more explicit.  As it is, Dr. Phlox just seems to jump to that conclusion.

I concur with Prole Hole's analysis.  Jennifer Lien had a great deal of talent, that I think was wasted.  I kind of wish that she didn't leave the ship; I liked where her character arc was going.  I wouldn't have minded a Paris/Kes/B'elanna triangle, maybe?

I would argue that 'Remember Me' is a good, if not great, Beverly Crusher spotlight episode.

Once again, this is something that doesn't bear scrutiny.  The holodeck does not and has never been consistent in its functionality.  You just have to accept that it's magic and go with it.

There's just so much to hate about 'Dear Doctor'.  Other sins include:

Because the Hirogen are bad.  The Voyager crew is good.  Therefore, the Hirogen are Nazis and the Voyager crew are the French Resistance.

Concur.

Wow.  You're the Voyager defender, and you don't like Seska?  I thought she, the Doctor, and Kes were the only redeeming features of that show in its first two seasons.

I don't have anything to contribute to this discussion, but I find it amusing that everyone would rather discuss DS9 than the two episodes this week.

Gah!  'Dear Doctor' is horrible!  I'm deducting internet points for your even mentioning it.

I've always preferred Walloons.

One also wonders how many women in the family were named Howard.  Did the ghost follow the Howard daughters down the family tree, and then bouncing off to their male relatives after they died?  Presumably, Nana's maiden name wasn't Howard.

That is so typical of the kind of behavior we've come to expect from Nikolai.

You know, I had my doubts about Interview with Rick Berman during the past couple of weeks, but I'm glad to report that he's still got it.

She should have put the candle back.

You're going to have to let this one slide.  Trek is not known for its consistency in these matters.  Better to take each time travel/parallel universe episode on their own terms.

Richelieu and I have defended Enterprise many times.  I think you should watch Enterprise, but there are three stages of the extent of your commitment to completism.

I'm with you, Jean-Luc.  I thought she looked serene in those opening seasons, and liked the idea of the interplay between the young woman Jadzia and the centuries-old symbiont Dax.  When they made her bawdy, I didn't think it an organic development from her established character.

Another vote for Empress Hoshi.  Best character ever.
