It's a terrible movie with about 2/3 of a really good movie somehow interwoven into it. Some amazing scenes, generally very good acting, even some good scriptwriting, and just a total fucking mess.

@avclub-2a6ac9e5324952e36b40237cf2fcdad8:disqus yeah, and @avclub-92a972196ae14b06997dc73a44c6cddd:disqus realized that, hence his last question. @avclub-88ec424f86ae2ce581412c2dbf32ed56:disqus knows what colour the carpet is, but not the drapes, which doesn't make sense…
@avclub-8210173b51782dc7755ef71fc36d4197:disqus I went to see Poison live, and would have killed to see Crüe or Cinderella or whatever. So, yeah, I understand bad taste.
I love you and want to bear your children.
Reading this comment made me want to cut myself in sympathy.
Yeah, but Limp Bizkit sold out arenas in the US too. And Nickelback probably still do!
There used to be Limp Bizkit fans. I know this for a fact, because they sold literally millions of records.
We (well, Alberta and Saskatchewan) export a lot of gas these days, but that isn't the main driver of the economy (outside those two provinces) now, and it certainly wasn't 30-40-50 years ago, when all the infrastructure and bureaucracy that supports our lovely social policies was developed.
Pretty sure that Vancouver and Toronto are the two most racially diverse cities in the world.
"Inbred Filthy Rich German and Some Rich Lady Produce Spawn"
Yeah, but did it suck in a "this is a film in which Diaz and Cruise do their thing" kind of way, or in a "this is a film with totally incompetent directing" kind of way? I was kind of figuring on the former more than the latter.

Well, that soundtrack sounds kind of awesome, so…
What about nuns?
Definitely not, I assure you. Wasn't trying to flaunt my ignorance as something to respect, I just find it odd - give me an equivalent band from the same era and chances are I know quite a few of their songs.
Well, that's one option, I suppose.
Well, this is turning out to be a more exciting day than I had planned!
I've, uh… never knowingly heard a Cheap Trick song. I mean, I'm sure I have heard them plenty of times, I'm the right age and demographic and their albums were all over the place in the eighties. But the only thing of theirs that I know for sure I've heard is the sample from the opening of Check Your Head. Which…
Reading is hard.
I thought he meant Tom Waits. I've blocked out the Semisonic one, apparently.
