Crush that motherfucker like an insect, please.

Have you read the Annotated Snark? Just as good.

I ended up reading almost everything he published until about 10 years ago, even to the extent of ordering some of his grad students' dissertations that he cited a lot.

So… it's a short book? I mean, it had a front and a back cover and a bunch of words inside, which is usually what I call a book.

So at least there was some good to come out of the evil.

Animal Farm, which I read when I was 12 and immediately declared was the best book I'd ever read. And it inspired a lifelong love of Orwell, to the extent that I found it difficult to write an essay in undergrad without referencing him somewhere.

I usually interpret a C+ here as "competent, nothing unexpected, hits most of the right notes without any unusual success/failure". Which is about what this sounds like. I'm going to see it, at any rate.

It's not like a C+ is panning it.

FUCK YOU!

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus Teti is definitely quick to come down on anyone he perceives as making a particular kind of argument, especially "you didn't like this game because you're biased, you need to get someone who likes the game to review it".

Eh, based on the comments I'm pretty sure I'd disagree with Dowd's take on it. This sounds like a lot of fun, especially given how high I'm going to be when I watch it.

Disagree. I would really like to see AV Club's shitty, shitty culture of constantly bitching out writers change. Why should they have to defend themselves against endless streams of ad hominems and irrelevant accusations? Like Koski and Ghostbusters, or people already claiming a pattern of incompetence because Dowd

@avclub-0edf30a984c91fe16daa1a9d45f2e08f:disqus Yeah, and it's a really shitty part of the job description. Yes, it's the internet, I need to sack up, blah blah blah. But a lot of the commenters here are just straight up assholes to the staff for petty and vindictive reasons.

I'm a really big Hulk fan (seriously, really big, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry) and I thought the movies were both pretty decent, although I'd way rather see a smart hulk film. But yeah, Iron Man 2 was better than either, and they're worse than any of the recent Marvel films save… well, a bunch of X-crap and

Yeah, that would make more sense. I've just never been able to parse that.

This comment, on the other hand, was not even remotely bitchy.

As iron man with jets ablaze
He's fighting and something with the culture rays?

@avclub-85d8ce590ad8981ca2c8286f79f59954:disqus isn't it simplest to assume a linear trend, in which case he would hate it even more?

Well, good luck! (No snark, even).

So, embarrassing first time thread? Mine: after watching the movie Kids, all of two minutes, fairly boring for both parties.
