Dude, this film was huge back in the day. I've still never seen it, but this was the "deep" film that all the non-loser kids were into in my high school (and a fair chunk of the loser kids, too).

My son (age 9) just came home from school last night talking about The Sounds of Silence, because their teacher spent a couple of classes going through it and interpreting it with them. And he recommended that they watch the video for Another Brick in the Wall as an example of something with a similar set of themes.
