I'm kinda hoping "haha Amy is ugly" doesn't become a recurring thing. I'm getting tired of the showbiz definition of "ugly female" being "average looking female in frumpy clothes".

Maybe it's not "abusive-abusive", but the Sheldon-Amy thing IS getting pretty icky.  I mean, Sheldon's turning out to be pretty much a straight-up asshole (as opposed to a loveable asshole)  and it seems like Amy's only staying with him not because she's genuinely attracted to him but because she's convinced that he's…

Just wanted to say that this was the first episode of Dr. Who I ever watched (it was on the PBS station in Cincinnati) and I was instantly hooked.

Not a book, but another thing that freaked me out as a kid was that part on "Cosmos" where Carl Sagan talks about the sun turning into a red giant and all the oceans evaporating before the earth gets engulfed by the sun.

Yeah, I know.  That was the only thing that came into my head beyond all of the other "people you wouldn't expect to be a serial killer" stories that they've already done—prepubescent children, quiet religious college students, old guys with Alzheimers…I'm forgetting some of the other ones.
