is Nat Faxon planning on appearing on every marriage themed sitcom on tv?

I used to think "Fat Guy in the Internet" era Gemberling sorta looked like Andy Milonakis ('member him?) maybe thats why he decided to grow the beard???

I find her "CLOSE IT UP, CLOSE IT UP!" in the "closing up the plug bag" theme very catchy.

I actually thought this was one of the stronger episodes. I thought Gil was a lot more tolerable playing off Casey than he has been with the other characters, maybe they need to pair them up more often.

I still remember her as the chick who used to appear in a bunch of the old STELLA shorts (the late 90s/early 00s sketch shorts Michael Ian Black, David Wain, Michael Showalter used to do) she had short hair back then. I also remember her playing Sam Rockwell's love interest in the movie "Safe Men" around that same

In the same panel, Casey said what she liked most about the script (this was for the pilot I'm assuming) was that Annie wasn't written as the typical sitcom wife whos only purpose on the show is to be the straightwoman who shrugs and gives "my husband sure is crazy!" looks to the camera. I guess it kinda flips the

I like the leads (even though Marino's character needs some more development) but most of the supporting characters don't seem necessary most of the time. I think I'd rather see more of Myrna and the dads than the friends. I don't know why Gil gets the most hate of the friends though, his character is still kinda

I think it was in the Paley Center panel (which was streaming online at one point) where they said very little is based on their real life other than Caspe is laid-back and Casey's kind of nuts, which I guess seems to be the theme of most episodes so far: "laid-back nice guy has to put up with crazy woman".

I didn't mind the cheese storyline because seeing John Gemberling and Neil Casey (two of UCB's finest improvisers) acting together on network tv was pretty cool. Also in general I'm pro more Neil Casey on TV. He had some hilarious recent appearances on Playing House (the gnome guy!) and Broad City. I think he wrote

Also, I kinda hope if Caspe and Wilson do another show, they go to cable next time. It seems obvious his shows would appeal much more to cable audiences than people who watch The Voice. All the bleeped swearing and burred nudity, it just seems like they're making a show that was meant to air on somewhere like TBS or

Even if this only lasts the one season, I think I'll be okay with that if I just pretend its the 4th season of Happy Endings (where all Penny's friends moved away apparently?) we never got. The last episode reminded me of Happy Endings in a good way, so I'm definitely on board.

This was the most Happy Endings-like episode so far I thought. Even if this show does basically feel like "Happy Endings-lite" I'm fine with that because anything that feels even a little bit like Happy Endings is something I will watch.

I kinda remember reading an interview with Caspe before the show aired where he said he was going to try to make the show appeal more to a wider range of people because as much as he liked how absurd Happy Endings got most of the time, he knew that was why (as he put it) the show only had like 20 people watching it

Going by the plot synopsis for next week, one of the B storylines involves Gil and his ex-wife so it sounds like she'll be back for that episode. I believe her and Dannah Feinglass (both UCB improvisors who created Hotwives of Orlando) are both writers on Marry Me as well.

It makes me sad seeing people hating on Gemberling. I love that dude on Broad City and whenever he's on Matt Besser's improv4humans podcast.

I saw the Friday encore last night and thought it was pretty crummy how they cut out the final scene. I think it was because in the encore they went to commercial after the opening credits, whereas in the Tuesday airing there was no commercial break between opening credits and next scene. So with the extra commercial

I LOLed at Rob Huebel literally pulling a Ken Marino as Louie and "dipping his balls in it" ("it" being Casey Wilson's face). Thats why need these kind of committed comedians like Huebel and Wilson who will sacrifice all dignity for a laugh.

Her delivery on "WHERE IS YOUR WIFE, NICK!?!?!?!" was the highlight of the TV trailers they've been showing.

This was great, almost like Happy Endings never left. I hope this show is successful and makes Casey Wilson and Ken Marino the huge stars they deserve to be.

Caspe also mentioned they were working on writing the other Happy Endings cast into future guest roles, but depending on their schedules it would be difficult to get them all at once. I think he said Elisha and Eliza would be the easiest to get because they're both on NBC affiliated shows right now. Damon and Adam
