Ah, okay. Thanks. I love the '60s collection. Do you know if the '70s volumes are just as good?

Does anybody know
why these aren't on the Peanuts 1960s Collection DVDs? Is it because those are "specials" and these are "movies," or some such nonsense?

I am ashamed to admit that my first CD was the Oliver & Co. soundtrack. If only it was R.E.M.'s Out of Time, which I purchased a short while later.

Wow. Yes. I was also crazy about "Shiny Happy People," which was my introduction to R.E.M. But I was 11, it wasn't my fault, dammit.

Man, and that New Yorker excerpt was so great. Looking forward to reading this.

I interviewed Mike Mills a few years ago, and he was the nicest guy. The best part was that I called R.E.M. Headquarters and a guy answered the phone with "R.E.M.?"

Sweetness Follows owns!!! I can't stop commenting on this page!!!

@Local151: I'd check out New Adventures In Hi-Fi, if you haven't heard it. It's really solid.

Shiny Happy People is another one that I think would be pretty great with different lyrics. So frustrating.

Wow, yes, let's be best friends. I really wish the chorus of Radio Song ("the world is collapsing…") was in a different song, because it's pretty great by itself.

I've never gotten into Green for some reason. I think the production is too late-'80s tinny for me. Though I could listen to "You Are The Everything" on repeat all day, that's for damn sure.

I can't believe I'm doing this either. It's hard not to take the bait. I'll just do the top 10.

I know it's schlock, but I can't help but love "I Wish It Would Rain Down."

NNNNNNNO!
Akeelah and! The Bee!

Er, I meant "not just be a hater," not "shit on things." Though that would be a fun phrase to hear in a theme song.

For some reason, How Did This Get Made just annoys me. I think it's because their theme song says they're not gonna just "shit on things," and then they do that for an hour or whatever. And mostly in just a recap format, with no analysis. Or maybe I'm just a sad old man! This is possible.

Wow. Thanks.

Yeah, it's not amazing, but I think it could become great, given some time. Of course, that's not going to happen.

I think all the kids are great, especially Bobby. Is that his name? Whoever Eugene Mirman voices. Yeah.
