true, but she was being held more or less under the patriot act so I somehow doubt she was subject to the same rights and cautions afforded to every patient. but that's just me… I don't really know.

yeah. I think this season you either buy into it or you don't, and Todd and a lot of our fellow commenters don't buy it. Personally I'm buying what the writers are selling and I think it makes the show easier and much more enjoyable to watch rather than being frustrated with every plot point. It's just best to go with

Poor Todd, I feel like reviewing this show is becoming torture for him. This episode was fine. I'm not as skeptical as our wonderful reviewer. I also really enjoyed the Saul - Javadi scenes and I think Javadi is a great villain. His end game remains a mystery to me but I look forward to finding out what it is.
Who

eh, disagree. brody's storyline is basically used up. not much more to do with him which is why they put him in a hole and stuck some heroin in his arm. agreed that the caracas thing is probably the tie but in many ways that also feels very predictable.

this is why I hate this storyline. This episode was AWESOME in other regards but this 40 second scene of bullshit has basically overshadowed all the progress made.

that baby would be so pale and prone to sun burn and skin cancer it would not be funny. It would also be totally irrational and emotionally unstable and kill itself or shoot up a school or both by the age of 15

I mean but "someone like Carrie" meaning someone in Carrie's position would probably not be a bipolar alcoholic who was fucking a terrorist for like 2 years. Girl don't have the best judgement. Just saying.

agreed which is why i'm choosing to ignore it. whatever homeland writers.

not that I'm defending this pointless plot point, but you need to get a pregnancy test at the psych ward to know you're pregnant. Routine bloodwork may very well not included that. For a patient on lithium you ought to get a pregnancy test if you're initiating therapy, but all you really need for maintenance are

yeah as soon as i saw it i was bored. I was like ok well this is a fairly useless overdramatic plot device. But really a drawer full of pregnancy tests to me is a fairly small detail in the big picture. at least for now. I'm just gonna pretend Carrie continues to keep that a secret and gets an abortion at planned

i dont really care that carrie is pregnant. it's sort of an irrelevant storyline until it actually becomes relevant. which isn't right now. other than that this episode was great.

it's also boring to not offer an opinion just criticize mine for probably being different than yours. But there's a whole lot of boredom and apathy going around so I'm not taking it to heart.

Everyone's doing a whole lot of whining. I like this show, I like where it's going and I enjoyed this episode, including Dana's dramatic scene about being tired of the lies- I felt like it set her emotional table quite well. And the last 15minutes were very intense I was covering my eyes and jumping around, which is

no, i think the way you plan to watch will ultimately be more satisfying.

fuck!!!

haha i can buy this.

Don't worry, I believe your tale, but I think for the rest of us I just thought homeland was going to the shitter like all the rest of showtime's shows typically do. Now can I actually say with confidence it isn't? Probably not, but that's actually part of the reason I didn't see it coming. I just assumed it was poor

Eh, to me Carrie always seemed like a patriot to her core, despite all the crazy, so it was shocking to me that she was willing to betray her country just because she, one person, got burned by the CIA. It just didn't feel like Carrie. So when I found out it really wasn't Carrie, it was part of a ruse, it resonated

please that's typical Carrie behavior, and how else was she going to get cash when the CIA froze her bank accounts.

right but I doubt you actually predicted it because basically no one did.
