Yeah I thought it was really weird that they liken the hand ripping to a clean and jerk. I think you'd probably need someone who deadlifts well over 500lbs, because it's a lot harder to transfer force to a briefcase than it is to a barbell, but clean and jerk performance is largely irrelevant.

Wasn't the fight because he wanted a more conventional relationship?

Yeah, Emma Dumont seems like a badass.  In addition to building crazy robots, she  apparently does roller derby and was in the Joffrey program in real life.

Circadianwolf,

Circadianwolf,

Phodreaw, how large of a male audience do you think there is for this show?  I'm one, but I don't think I know another male who's even heard of Bunheads.  Most of the audience seems to be Gilmore Girls fans, the vast majority of whom are female (I think?).

It's either Daniel or someone who looks exactly like him.

It's almost certain to be Daniel.  It's someone dressed like a man with hair similar to Daniel, and both Charlotte and Victoria identify him as Daniel (albeit without very close examination).  If it's someone else, they better have a damn good retcon for the events of the pilot.

But he's not killing the other kid.  He's just giving the turkey to his own kid and letting the other one fend for himself.  Maybe that's immoral, but it's not murder.  The turkey didn't belong to either of the kids to begin with, the same way that the heart didn't belong to either of the recipients.  Butterface was

To be completely fair to Frank, the heart in question did end up saving someone else's life.  Obviously a dick move, but I think it's far from murder.

Does Rogan get a cut of the PPV?  I always thought he was just paid a flat fee to commentate for them.

If I remember correctly, Leo was only 2-3 years older than Veronica (20 to her 17/18 I think).

Eh, I thought that was a semi-realistic portrayal of what it's like to be really goddamn high.  The scene at the end where they leave the concert was the only thing that seemed more like acid.

Was the "My name is Cassidy!" line supposed to be a nod to Veronica Mars?  Or am I reading waaay too much into this?

The lack of gloves also struck me as rather unprofessional.

No love for Rubicon?  That was just starting to get interesting when they cancelled it.

What about 24?  I'm not holding that up as an example of spectacular storytelling, but they certainly had a serialized story without any real resets between episodes.
