He drummed for R.E.M. when they toured after Bill Berry left, also toured with Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 (Peter Buck was involved in that too).

I saw Iggy for the first time ever two years ago, and yeah, dude is a showman.

I'm a diver as well - just basic Open Water certified - and yeah, it's kind of fun to watch movies like this and be like, "yeah, right." I remember watching Into the Blue the weekend it came out, and Ashley Scott's character wearing that gold-colored wetsuit while diving at night. I was like, "well, that's stupid,

Funeral is better than Neon Bible, but just by a hair. 'Intervention' is my favorite AF song.

Thumbs up for the Books, though I haven't heard that album. I went to see them several years ago on a whim, just b/c I liked The Way Out. I'm glad I did, as they broke up after that album.

I listened to Arcade Fire's The Suburbs again this week. I think it's the last great album they did - the first half of Reflektor is strong, but the second half is weak in spots. And did 'Supersymmetry' need to be 11 freaking minutes?

I actually wrote a paper on music censorship as a high school senior, I don't recall quoting any 2 Live Crew lyrics, except for saying "they repeatedly emphasize oral sex". I didn't listen to their music until years later, and my presumptions were pretty much correct.

If you believe in having sex, say 'HELL YEAH!'

Woo hoo! Just got tickets to the St. Louis show. I saw Beck last year and am kinda done with paying to see him again for a while, but I'll definitely take him as an opener over The Lumineers or OneRepublic.

I saw the Popmart tour, we barely missed getting Rage Against the Machine as an opener. Instead, we got Fun Lovin' Criminals. Ugh.

And lose the nose ring while you're at it.

I know of the Screaming Blue Messiahs. I really like their album Gun-Shy, especially the song 'Let's Go Down to the Woods'.

I saw Pulp when they reformed a few years back at Coachella. That's a band I never thought I'd get to see live, and I did. Even though they only played an hour, they were fantastic. Jarvis is a great frontman.

Otis's Monterey Pop performance is like, "this is how you sing a song."

Fiona did take a long break between Extraordinary and The Idler Wheel, but I think she'll tour again. From interviews, it sounds like she doesn't hate playing live.

I saw R.E.M. several times - they were one of my favorite bands - and most of the times they were good. Michael Stipe was always fun to watch, and they'd sometimes rotate songs out of the set and play something they hadn't played for a while. My favorite show of theirs was in '99 when they toured for Up. They had this

He played that Bridge School Benefit with Neil Young a few years back, but yeah, nothing since around 2008. He did come to my area - St. Louis - and I thought about going, but tix were like $75, and I was like, "I like him, but I don't know if I like him that much." I don't feel that bad about missing it, but if he

I really fell out of love with them. I had several of their albums that I got rid of, the only one I kept is Throwing Copper b/c I still enjoy most of that album, except for 'I Alone' and 'Lightning Crashes'. Those songs can fuck off.

I had tickets to see them when they toured for Mellon Collie, but then their keyboardist died and they kicked Jimmy out of the band. I still went to the show and it was good, I'm just glad I got to see them touring on the back of their best material.

I saw the Butthole Surfers last year at the Day For Night fest in Houston, they were disappointing. I didn't expect the insanity of their 80's shows (which I never saw), but they were unexciting. They looked and sounded neutered.
