I missed the Stripes too, I was planning on seeing them at Austin City Limits fest in '07, but then they cancelled the tour. Dammit.

You mean Live, the Throwing Copper band? They're playing festivals with the original lineup. I know they're playing Lollapalooza this year.

I saw QOTSA on the last travelling Lollapalooza in 2003. I do seem to recall Lanegan coming out to sing 'Hangin' Tree'.

My parents saw Harry Chapin when they were in college. They didn't know who he was, and they left the show as fans.

I drove 7 hours to Chicago last February to see Godspeed play two shows, one of which was in a church. Was totally worth the trip, the church show was incredible.

Zevon would probably be my choice as well, as to who I wish I could've seen live. Didn't get into his work until after he died. His songs were humorous, dark, and often lovely. He's a big influence on my songwriting.

My library had The Three EP's. When I listened to the album, I was like, "oh, now I get that High Fidelity joke."

I like a lot of Gizmodgery. Not everything works, but the stuff that does work I really like, including the 'What A Fool Believes' cover.

I like 'How Do You Talk to an Angel?', saxomophone and everything. Can't really explain why, it just clicks for me.

I really like it too, but it irritates me that he doesn't play any songs from that album live anymore.

'Dry the Rain' from The Beta Band is one of my favorite songs ever.

When I saw them, Morning Teleportation opened. They were decent. Strangely, they're opening up for them again for tomorrow's show!

They seem to mix up their sets pretty well, last time I saw them they played 'Broke', 'Grey Ice Water', and 'Night on the Sun', among others.

I'm seeing Modest Mouse on Friday night (second time seeing them), so I've been listening to a bunch of their stuff. My favorite is The Moon and Antarctica, though I also like a lot of Lonesome Crowded West and Good News For People Who Love Bad News. The first time I saw them was good, highlight was 'Doin' the

I wish they were coming to my area (St. Louis or Kansas City).

The Mountain Goats' Goths - Pretty much on par with Beat the Champ, in that it's mostly a solid album with a couple of boring clunkers.

Man, I should've gone to Lolla '95, but my musical tastes were't cool enough. Didn't Elastica replace someone that year? If we had gotten them on the dates in my area, I definitely would've gone.

I've seen Beck several times over the years, and I'm done with him live for now. I saw him last fall, mostly b/c my girlfriend had never seen him, and it was fine, but not as good as some past shows. I miss weird and funny Beck. Maybe the new album will be great, but the new songs he's playing don't fill me with a lot

I don't think it's as good as the Slim Shady or Marshall Mathers LPs, but it's pretty solid. Business, Cleaning Out My Closet, and Without Me are all great tracks. Also, 'My Dad's Gone Crazy' is kind of a guilty pleasure.

I gave her music a fair shake - I listened to all of 'Ultraviolence' - and found a couple of moments sad, but most of the songs were just boring and not worth any repeated spins.
