Listening to Downtown Boys' Full Communism today. They're playing a fest I'm going to in August. Good political punk rock, plus saxophone! Not sure about that 'Dancing in the Dark' cover, though…

Hey, I saw that tour as well, with the FF opening for the Chili Peppers. In retrospect, I think the FF stole the show.

Yeah, I remember going to the circus as a kid, and thought it was really cool I got to ride on one of the elephants.

I do. I don't think they have the Merge Records catalog anymore, which is why they only have the non-Merge MG albums.

I saw Cornell solo a number of years ago, he played for over 2 hours with songs from every group he was a part of, and sounded strong all throughout the show.

Been listening to The Magnetic Fields' 50 Song Memoir. Overall, it's solid - much better than the last 2 MF albums, for sure. I bought the CD version because it comes with a little book that has Stephin Merritt interviewed by Daniel Handler - they talk about each one of the songs.

I went to that fest last year and had a blast. I'll probably go again this year, though I haven't gotten a ticket yet.

Liked for Oxbow. I saw them last week in London with Sumac. Really good show.

Beach Slang is playing in town this week, so I've been listening to The Things We Do… It's probably going to take a few more listens, right now it just sounds like the Replacements without all the memorable melodies.

Mmmm…64 slices of American cheese.

The grocery store I go to carries it (I assume you mean 'Real Maple Syrup'). It costs more, but it's worth it.

K-Tel's Death-Feuled 70's Classics!

Sundown, If You Could Read My Mind, and Carefree Highway are all solid.

Who let these hos in my (court)room?

Yeah, Deep Blue Sea is so corny and far-fetched that it's just fun. The 'How Did This Get Made' podcast episode on it is pretty funny.

I hated 'Shark Night'. The only redeeming factor was seeing Sara Paxton in a bikini.

Elbows, or anything tiny and tube-shaped. There's one I've used recently, but I can't remember what it's called or the brand.

I know the Serious Eats recipe you speak of. I tried it, it was OK - the pasta cooked faster than I thought - but a night or two later I brought the leftovers over to where my girlfriend was making chili and had chili mac. Much improved!

I used to throw in a can of tuna when I made some mac and cheese recipes in the past.

I have a baked mac and cheese recipe that I've made several times, it calls for onions, bacon, and red pepper flakes. I made it again last weekend and slightly altered the recipe. Instead of using generic cheddar cheese from the store, I used Kerrygold cheddar cheese - which costs a few $ more - and topped it with
