My parents let me watch The Fly with them when I was 10, I think. They also let me watch the last part of Aliens, from when Ripley goes to save the girl to the end. The movies weren't disturbing, just gross and awesome.

I ordered Pizza Tree once, b/c they had Pizza Margherita. Pizza was fine, but for $15? I can make one myself for cheaper.
Glad you enjoyed T/F. I live in Columbia, there always seems to be a huge turnout every year. The mild temperatures were certainly welcome. I don't go to T/F much anymore, big crowds plus not being guaranteed to see what you want to see (among other things) don't go well with me.
Oh yeah, he was the vacationing guy freaking out when he saw the ship coming, wasn't he?
I saw this with my younger brother the summer it came out. I was 16 at the time. My then-76 year old grandmother dropped us both off at the theater. I made the mistake of telling them my age, and they wouldn't let us in. My brother and I persuaded our grandmother to see it with us. She did, and she enjoyed it! She…

I'm done with The Gaslight Anthem. I still think 'The '59 Sound' is one of the best albums of the '00s, but it's been diminishing returns since then. Didn't even bother with that last album they released.
I have a couple of Metallica songs on my jogging playlist, that's one of them.
I heard it's going to be a DJ set.
"The Fame" is my favorite Oasis song.
Most of the songs on Be Here Now are just unnecessarily long, and several of the best songs from those sessions ended up as B-sides (I Got the Fever, The Fame). These days, the only songs I still like are D'Ya Know What I Mean, My Big Mouth, and I Hope I Think I Know.
I drove 7 hours to Chicago last year to see that MSP plays The Holy Bible show. It was worth it.
I got into Lehrer because my library had this. Funny, pointed stuff, and I really enjoy the piano melodies he comes up with.
I'm seeing him in St. Louis this coming Sunday. Seen him/them several times before, but not on this tour. Really looking forward to it.
One of my favorites is the hidden track on Ol Dirty Bastard's N**** Please - it comes up as titled 'Cracker Jack'. It features ODB's typical deranged persona, with lines like, "bitches wanna fuck me when you smell my underarms."
My favorite memories have nothing to do with the ceremony. I had a subscription to Premiere magazine as a kid. They always had a big fold-out Oscar poster where you could check the box next to the winners on Oscar night. I remember my parents letting me stay up past my bedtime to watch the show and fill out the…
I have the Criterion edition (non-Blu-Ray). One of the only DVD's I own where it's worth more than what I paid. I liked it on first viewing, but I've grown to enjoy it more on subsequent viewings. I'd totally go see it on the big screen if it came anywhere around here.
I'm currently reading John Douglas and Mark Olshaker's Law and Disorder. Douglas was one of the pioneers of criminal profiling at the FBI, he and Olshaker have written a series of books about cases Douglas has worked on, the minds of serial killers, etc. Really fascinating stuff. This new one is (mostly) about cases…
This reminds me of that Far Side cartoon with the angry tree holding the couple and saying, "So, the little sweethearts were going to carve their initials into me, eh?"
