The singing of "Happy Birthday to You" on that answering machine amongst all the guitar fuzz always makes me smile.

"And now, the severe beating of a high school bus driver."

One of the best DVD extras ever is the live reading/performance of this by the cast on the Season 4 box set. Before the show, several people in the audience are chanting, "Boys soul! Boys soul!"

Nice! I'm still contemplating going to Iceland for the ATP Fest.

I first heard of these guys when they showed the video for 'Suds and Soda' on Beavis and Butthead. That song was so good I went and got a copy of it. I love when they watch that video from the start with the violin sound:

They should have stepped back from that ledge, my friend.

That sax solo on 'You Belong to the City' now sounds extra sad.

RIP. His songs were nasty but also funny. I never heard anything by him, until someone recommended Blowfly's Party to me. I listened to it at my work (on headphones), and I had to try to control my laughter on "Who Did I Eat Last Nite?"

I like Michael Maltese's short 'Return My Love' duet that Elmer and Bugs sing in this. Of course, the whole cartoon is a classic too.

YEAH!!! SHE SAID IT AGAIN!

Yeah, the person who posted on his Facebook said that he had posted it in error, that he died back in 2006.

Desmond Dekker, too. I like very little reggae, but 'Israelites' is an exception. It may be my favorite reggae song.

New World Pictures.

Cool. I don't go back to Hesitation Marks very much, but the tour they did for that album was awesome, I had seen them before and was expecting "just another NIN show" but it was better than I expected.

What was the last film he did - Dark Horse? Yeah, that wasn't very good. I don't know if he'll ever top Happiness, that's my favorite from him.

I remember reading about this woman in one of Roger Ebert's books, and how she had just dropped out of the public eye and lived in a small house.

I listened to Annie Lennox and Al Green's cover of 'Put a Little Love in Your Heart' a few days ago (from the Scrooged soundtrack) and was reminded what a good cover that was. I'd say it's better than the original.

No, that's for grocery stores.

"Push this."

"These guys need to quit screwing around and get back to making sandwiches."
